My family and I went to the Villa for Father's Day. The food was absolutely delicious. We started off with some appetizers such as the Hot Antipasto and Brushetta. They were wonderful. We ordered steaks (which were cooked to perfection and very tender) and seafood dishes which were also cooked to perfection and and quite tasty. The brasciole was like Mama's cooking. I have been to many Italian restaurants, but this is Number One in my book!!! Atmosphere was great. Very friendly wait staff and Mr. Valenti walked around the restaurant wanting to know how our dinners were. We had a nice conversatiaon with the owner (which is not seen to often where the owner takes the time and interest). It was a very lovely Father's Day and thank you to the Villa Valenti. We will definitely be back and bringing friends to join us.

Hicks in smallbany lucky here! You are hicks, yes you are, embrace that:0 There are so many variables N.Y. city has over you. One is food. We know good food and are light years ahead of anything up there. You people think Olive garden,Macaroni Grill,Fridays are good, please. Culture and education needed badly. Tried many up there and only a couple I like. depending on cuisine and decor, etc. My two favorites are Cafe Capricio and Villa Valenti. They are very different but the same in the ingredient area. They offer the best Albany has to offer. Been to your more expensive(though Capricio up there) but none our better than these two. Luckily your population is small , so you do not need more than two places I guess:)

I heard great things about the Villa Valenti Restaurant. So my family and I went to the Villa last week. It was truly a wonderful time. We had a drink at the bar and had quite a few laughs with the bartenders. Service was quick. Then we were escorted to our table by a very hospitable hostess. We had quite a large party so we had a few waitresses waiting on us. And what friendly waitresses may I say. They were friendly, service was excellent and I just cannot say enough about the food. Portions were large, the sauce is truly homemade and exceptional. All the dishes we ordered, from steaks to Sorrentos, chicken dishes and veal dishes were delicious. We were made to feel at home and the food was more than we expected. The owner came to our table and greeted us which is something not seen very often. He was very gracious and we enjoyed him coming and chatting with us. From beginning to end, I would say we had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be back (bringing friends with us also). Great job and keep up the good work!
