an italian based restaurant with excellent quality and quantity with and average dining area. excellent salad bar. except for satuurday night which can be a hour wait the service is very good

This restaurant belongs in the city...it can make it there easily. The value for quality ratio is better than any I have come across in my travels. I understand it has been around a long time and usually that means latency but not here....I have rated restaurants for elite clients in the city so I am excited about this find. The meat and seafood is so high end I just cannot understand their low prices. I know the city things are more but i am comparing to Albany too. Perhaps many in the Albany area do not know quality as we do in the city, (am sure of that) but you townies are lucky and I mean lucky to have this one.

Normally I would write a glowing review of Villa Valenti - it has always been my favority place to eat in the capital district - and food wise it still is. Part of the appeal of this restaurant has always been large portions for little money. The last time we visited the area we stopped for our usual visit. Upon receiving the menu we quickly realized that they had increased their rates - but not by a small percentage but rather by a significant percentage. While I really do enjoy the food I will most likely not return because of the drastic increase - most of the people who frequent this establishment have been going here for years and I think it disrespectful to increase prices quite so much.
